THE WORLD OF TROUT

How ideas and techniques, especially casting and presentation, are modified to deal with specific local conditions. This includes a survey of trout fishing in a variety of water types and how they affect the sport. Specific eastern and western waters are covered, including Alaska, giant sea-run trout in Argentina, and the unique brook trout fishery of Labrador, even English chalk streams.

Ed Jaworowski is an international flyfishing authority. He has authored four books, is writing his fifth, and served as editorial consultant for another. His books and hundreds of articles, appearing in more than 20 different periodicals, have been published in the US, England, Spain, Norway, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Italy, and Japan. Angling travels, lectures, and instructions have taken him around much of the western hemisphere. Ed is a widely published photographer, and consultant to several large fly tackle manufacturers. Lefty Kreh calls Ed "the best teacher of fly casting I have ever known". He currently works as a consultant to Temple Fork Outfitters (Springbrook Trading Ltd.) testing and assisting with designing of rods and other products. In 2005 he retired from Villanova University where, as a Classical Studies professor, he taught ancient Latin and Greek literature and Roman history for more than 40 years.

"Bugs of NEPA"

by Fishin' Musician

Philip Mancini's love for one of God's special creations, the Brook Trout, has led to his nickname, "Fishin' Musician". Through this interest, Philip has expanded his repertoire to include songs and stories about the outdoors and his favorite past-time--fishing.

"Bugs of NEPA" will give you an overview of some of the most prolific Bugs we have in NEPA as well as some hard to find Bugs. Come enjoy an evening out talking about and experiencing NEPA's Bugs under and above our waterways.

Philip has over 20 years of performance and speaking experience. He is endorsed as a Greg Bennett Pro Artist for the worlds largest music manufacture, Samick, and has been a guest performer and speaker for children and adults. Philip will bring the topic to a level everyone can understand and enjoy.
